Marina Gonzalez

1986 | Seville, Spain

Marina Gonzalez’s work focuses on how consciousness can be expressed by utilizing various artistic stimuli. Mixed media abstract compositions employ vibrant swathes of paint and collage onto canvas, with the intention of evoking differing physiological reactions. Her series of portraits merge similar gestural markings with nostalgic imagery, calling to mind romanticism paintings and portraiture, through their dreamlike sensibility.
